Switcheasy Tones Review

Hey There,Today we will be taking a look at a case from Switcheasy, and as the title states it is the Tones case. Now,Switcheasy is an awesome company creating unique yet fun and protective cases and have a great reputation with great case designs and value for money. The Switcheasy tones retails for US$24.99 and they include "everything but the kitchen sink" LITERALLY....You get The Tones case, 2 clear screen shields,1 back protector(which covers the aluminium part of the iPhone),a micro-fibre wipe,squegee for screen guard application,2 lightning port protectors and 2 headphone jack protectors,The case is a great deal:),You guys can check them out here..
This case is a Hybrid case, what this means is the case has a mixture of hard polycarbonate and a flexible TPU(Thermoplastic Polyurethane)material,Switcheasy calls is a "Duo-Shot Hybrid Construction".The case isn't the easiest case nor the hardest case to put on and remove but the case is sturdy yet not completely hard but it requires patience to get on and off which is a good thing in my opinion because I am sure that your precious little iPhone isn't just going to flop out if the case. The Tones case is unique because the case mimics the design of the iPhone 5 with its two-toned back like its name suggests and is pretty impressively designed all around.
The Tones case looks great and feels great in the hand, the case feels really smooth and sleek yet grippy enough so it just wont slip out of your hand. The case feels really sturdy and very solid once installed on the phone and gives pretty good all-round protection from daily use, scratches and minor falls. For a Hybrid case the Tones does not add much bulk at all so it preserves the slim and sleek feeling the iPhone 5 has to offer.
Now for the cut-outs.The cut-outs on this case have meticulously engineered with pin-point accuracy, the cut-out for the lightning port is nice and "roomy" enough, same goes to the 3.5mm headphone jack, but the speaker and microphone grilles have individual little holes and the holes line up perfectly with the phone and does not disrupt it in any way.

The volume buttons are covered and are responsive enough with a satisfying clicky feeling and the power button is covered too and is tactile too.The mute switch is easy to access because the cut-out was nice and big which makes the switch easy to flick on and off.
The camera cut-out is nice and "tight" around the camera lens and flash and does not cause any flashback or any glare which is very good in my opinion unlike some cases which resort in huge cut-outs which is unnecessary for the iPhone 5.
The case has a minimal lip coming above the screen which is good when laying your phone on a desk or table face down, the display won't come in contact with surface of the table so that that screen is protected.
The Verdict :Overall The Tones case from Switcheasy is a good all-round case offering decent but not huge amount of protection in a slim and attractive package.I would definitely recommend this case for someone who wants a simple and slim case for everyday use.

Gecko Gear Gecko Glow For iPhone 5 Review

Hello There,Today I will be reviewing a case from an Australian based company which is Gecko Gear.
I will be taking a look at their case which is the gecko glow case.I purchased this case on my own for my personel use. The case retails for about US$29 and comes with a ultra-clear screen shield and a micro-fibre wipe:),And you guys can check them out here....
Now,this case is made of a TPU material so it is flexible and very easy to get on and off your iPhone.
This case has a very interesting look to it,The case adds extra grip when you are holding your phone and it feels good in the hand....It has a textured inside which looks like the skin of a gecko(I guess that's why they called the "Gecko Glow"....haha:)
I liked this case mainly for it's vibrant colour(The colour I got was a fluorescent  greenish-lime...They also come in blue and pink for now)....This case is unique because it glows in the dark....The case has a decent glow....Don't be expecting to use it as a flashlight.....
Now moving on with the iPhone in the case....The case fits nice and snug,The volume buttons are covered and are nice and clicky to the press, the mute switch is very easy to access because the cut-out sort of  "dips in" making it easy to flick on and off.....
Here is what the bottom will look like....The cut-outs are nice and precise yet "roomy" enough for the lightning cable to fit in without any issues and the headphone jack cut-out was good too,The speaker and microphone grilles and wide open,I haven't encountered any problems with the case so far....

Here is what the camera cut-out looks like....The camera cut-out is nice and "tight" all around, unlike some cases with huge camera cut-outs which in my opinion is ugly....The camera flash works fine without any flashback whatsoever,The lock and unlock button at the top of the phone is covered too with a great clicky feeling so the all the buttons feel very tactile in this case....
This case has a decent lip curling over the display without disrupting it in any way....The lip protects the phone when it is layd face down on a desk or a table so that the display does not scratch...

The Verdict :Overall this case is a pretty decent case for scratch protection and a little shock protection,The glow-in-the-dark factor it will attract customers and it looks snazzy with its gecko detailing on the back. The case looks and feels good to handle and overall a great case:)
Rating(in my opinion) :4 out of 5 stars
